Hello Lovelies,
Take a two-inch section of your hair and finger through the strands. Do you notice the strands sticking together when you try to separate them? This is known as hair webbing. Hair webbing occurs when the hair doesn’t have enough moisture for the hair cuticle to lay flat, so individual strands start to attach and web around each other, much like a spider web. Webbing most often affects people with finer hair strands because the cuticle is of fine hair is most susceptible to dryness and damage. Webbing also occurs when you wear your hair in a protective style for too long.
Webbing is a clear sign of dehydrated hair, and it’s a problem you want to correct immediately. Failure to get your hair’s hydration and moisture level back in check can cause your hair tangle, form single strand knots, and snap, pop, and break, all of which will prevent you from retaining length and growing longer hair.
